Very sad. I don't know much about Basketball apart from LeBron James is a Liverpool fan but I do recall Kobe was in the US Olympic 'Dream' team once or twice.

KOBE BRYANT KILLED!! Closest relevant thread to mark the passing of a legend!! Died in a helicopter crash apparently!! Not a basketball fan myself, but to every sports fan, I suspect, Kobe Bryant is readily recognised as a proper sporting - as much as a basketball - legend!! So shocked. so sad!

Don't know much about Basketball but i recognised his face straight away i hear he was legendary like Michael Jordan so for that reason this really is a shock death what a tragic way to die.

Not really a keen follower of basketball but very well aware of the legend that was Kobe Bryant. A sporting icon and ambassador for his sport.
