Ronnie went 3-0 up against Pang Junxu, and Junxu's potting was so poor it looked like Ronnie was going to whitewash him. Pang got his potting going in frame 4 and looked like he was playing well enough to cause an upset until he missed a red in the middle pocket in the 6th frame and Ronnie produced a 95 clearance to win 4-2

The Juddernaut is back! Judd Trump was fluent from the outset as he whitewashed Lyu Haotian 4-0

Lisowski took too long to put up a fight against Mark Allen this afternoon. Working with Peter Ebdon doesn't seem to be rubbing off that much.

With 2 such fluent potters such as Ronnie and Zhou Yuelong, a best of seven match could go either way, and Ronnie was relieved to beat Zhou 4-3, as he was when he beat Zhou 6-5 in the UK Championship. It's a testament to Ronnie that even at 48 years of age he can go toe to toe with a young, very fluent player like Zhou Yuelong in a potting match and still win.

Ronnie goes on to play Gary Wilson in the quarter finals after Wilson disposed of Tom Ford 4-2.

Selby made too many unforced errors and the Juddernaut demolished him 5-1

In the other quarter final, Cao Yupeng came back from 3-0, and 4-2, down to beat Mark Williams 5-4. Yupeng seems to overhit the balls but his style works as he's knocked out Hawkins, Tubs and now Williams. The future of snooker is looking Chinese. Should be a great semi-final tomorrow night between Judd and Yupeng!
