Was rumours that fire brigade went and dealt with the fridge fire thought they had put it out and went out of the building and saw the cladding on fire and rushed straight back in. but that was a rumour

apparently there is at least 1 fire a week in london of which a fridge is culprit

It's a right old minefield when it comes to manufacturing, as it states in the report,

" The model was made by Indesit under the Hotpoint brand; both are part of the Whirlpool group. "

As Financial Domination continues to grow, less enthusiasm is required when putting on a show.

It's never happened to me, but I can see the logic especially if it's full of bacon and sausages.

The fridge may well be the culprit but a "power surge" being the cause is extremely rare. When surges happen it tends to be kit with lots of electronics which is most affected.

The vast majority of fridges are simple devices but I have pulled scorched cardboard, socks etc from behind them.

^ I'd put it a bit more than a rumour: This was being reported three days ago: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.telegra...flats/amp/

The fire should never have got past that one room but for the block exterior refurb.

Residents had said that a number of power surges had made appliances overheat so could be that only way we will know is from a full inquest which will happen

must admit i just pulled out my fridge freezers out and checked it

The Leader of Camden Council was doing that today blaming a contractor but couldn't answer when asked why the Councils building control inspectors had not spotted "the wrong cladding" being used on a refurbishment 3 years ago. This crosses political parties, safety bodies, contractors etc etc

also labour mp for the area Coad was the ALMO and councillor for that block of flats and she should asked why didn't the residents concerns get sorted.

Prescott in 1999 didn't do anything about a report of potential fire risks in high raise buildings.

on the news it was announced that there could be manslaughter charges made.
