There's a secret character which you can unlock called Shin Akuma if you follow these steps:

1.) Select Ryu, cancel on colour 2
2.) Select Ken, cancel on colour 9
3.) Select Sagat, cancel on colour 8
4.) Select M. Bison, cancel on colour 7
5.) Place the cursor on Random, press L and R at the same time.
