RE: Studio66 USA - Chat & Discussion
As I don't have a Sky box (just a generic satellite receiver) can anyone clarify whether the new KKHC channel (Switch TV?) replaces the USA channel or is there something else in the pipeline as a replacement?

STD 66 USA was broadcast on Sky channel 941, my Sky program guide for the next 7 days shows Sky channel 941 going back to broadcasting the regular STD 66 night shows .
Sky channel 942 is the STD 66 named channel that has today changed it's channel name to "Switch TV", and not the channel that has been broadcasting the USA shows (941)

Life is short . Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile .

Yes s66 did lose some big names, including Ashley Emma and Caty Cole but your forgetting that s66 added a few new night babes during s66usa existence including Kandi Kay, Delia Rose, Kara De La Hoyde and Kerry-Louise along with cara brett doing regular tease shows/nightshows

Your lists are awesome Rammy, but you missed out the current Ultimate babe Lilly Roma (as voted for by S66 fanboys) Does she not count as a big loss to STD66 due to S66 USA taking air time away from the girls based in the UK ?

RE: Studio66 USA - Chat & Discussion
There's something here that I am difficulty in getting my head around.

A studio uses one of its channels to transmit a new trans-atlantic service. The notion is that this 'bright-new-world' failed hence its demise in approx. 3 months. Yet no sooner than this service ends, another is about to start almost as a knight in shining armour to fill the void of spare capacity. In practical terms this just does not happen.

1. For the old service, if there was to be a long term project, even if it was only watched by two men and a dog (and it was the dog on the bone) they would persist more than 3 months.
2. For the new service:
a. They need the co-operation of $ky to alter the channel name
b. They need the co-operation of Ofcom to register that new name (b. would probably come before a.)
neither a. nor b. happen overnight.

So think on this.

^^^ If you'd read mr mystery's post above more carefully you'd have understood that Studio 66 is dropping its USA programme and simply reverting to their normal UK-based service, not introducing a new service.

Switch TV is on a different channel.

Mr Mystery's post makes sense but you've still got the wrong drift because it's still going to end up as 2 standard S66 channels and a 3rd channel devoted to a different spin-off although this new version of the 3rd channel is using a different channel number.

Jun/Jul/Aug it was usually 912 & 942 as the standard duo with S66USA on 941.

Now in September it looks like being 912 & 941 as the standard duo with Switch on 942.

A bit of musical chairs with the channel numbers in the vain hope that 942 will be a happier home for the latest (but probably dismal) project than 941 was for the previous one.

When you get the oil out, drench yourself rather than just a couple of smears,

^^^ I haven't got the wrong drift. As you yourself say, the new channel is on a different channel number to the USA channel. It was therefore presumably planned in advance, in accordance with Sky and Ofcom protocol.

The post I was replying to was making out that this was some last minute change of service on the same channel as the USA channel, which is not the case.

It wasn't quite like that. The decision to switch from the USA broadcasts to this new project was made 2 weeks ago. It wasn't a case of the USA broadcasts suddenly halting and another project instantly materialising.
