How can I stop this channel taking my money?
I signed up to the "credit card" option - but have just realised, that, without my permission, they help themselves to 32 quid a month off my card
the "helpline" advertised on screen doesn't appear to be a real number, and there are no customer services options on the credit card number
the company that takes the money "BDC Ltd" Ireland - was disolved in 2008 according to credit check

so i feel a little put out that they are nicking money off me, although my account is in credit, it's unwanted credit that I certainly do not want to pay for month in month out

anyone had this issue? how to resolve?
for the rest of you, take heed, you are signing up for more than you bargain for with the credit card option

thanks

I've said this before on here..

NEVER and i mean NEVER sign up to anything that takes payment by Continuous Card Authorisation. You can't cancel it, the bank can't cancel it and Banks will also pass on new card details even if you report it as stolen.

If you've tried every possible option and can't trace them, report it as fraudulent activity to your card issuer and let them chase it.

Only 3 things in life are certain. Death, Taxes and lesbians will never look how they do in porn movies.

just read an article on the guardian website. Apparently I can tell the bank not to pay it, although they will likely try and tell me they cannot stop it, they actually can in my circumstances - so will head in tomorrow

I'm sorry to hear of your predicament, dace.

You should just insist on cancellation through your card provider, it is your right. Save your legs and any possible embarrassment explaining to the sweet young cashier. See here:-

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

That's a lot of money and I hope you get it sorted, but I don't have a whole lot of sympathy if I'm honest.

Anyone who signs up to ANY kind of agreement with shitehawks like this must need their bumps feeling!

I would report them to the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and even report them to Ofcom, and whoever is responsible for issuing them a broadcasting licence.

You should never hand over your credit card details directly with any company you are not sure about. Always sign up via CCbill or Epoch and if you are then ripped-off you can easily cancel your subscription.

Banks have been telling people for years that there's nothing that can be done but, as ever, they're lying! This explains it in full:

It surely goes without saying that if they really had been dissolved in 2008 it wouldn't be possible for them to be taking money from you (or from anyone else). Since your story on the face of it couldn't be true, I carried out a quick internet search to find the company in question.

BDC stands for Black Dog Communications. Here are their contact details: http://www.theblack-dog.com/contactus.html (You can unsubscribe following the instructions there, although it states that subscriptions should be cancelled at least 2 days before the rebilling date).
