James Avery R.I.P.
James Avery played Phillip Banks in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Avery was great in the role, so was the show. Sad news.
After two years I've finally given myself an avatar and a signature as well! It's like a bus, you wait for one for ages and two come at once!

Wow... this came as a compete shock to me when I was browsing through this thread. Arguably, was one of my favorite characters on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Show".

Sad news. Uncle Phil Banks in Fresh Prince was great because his straight-man character was so funny, top show. I didn't know until today but was a talented voice actor too - he did the voice for Shredder in the original TMNT cartoon and also voiced War Machine in the Iron Man animated series.
