How is everyone enjoying the weather?

I think we escaped thew worst of it here Seeing & hearing about what has happened berings back mermories of the great storm that october night. Back thwn I was still at my parents house and remember Michael Fish's warning "I've been told there is a hurricane on the way.."

^^ I thought Michael Fish was famous for under-playing it, saying it was going to be a bit breezy, or something to that effect.

^ He said that someone had called the BBC because they'd heard a hurricane was coming....and then shot himself in the foot by saying "if you're warching, don't worry, there isn't".

Couple of massive branches to clear up this morning, followed by a search and rescue mission for one of the bins.
Other than that we seem to have missed the worst of it here

Well after getting pummelled by winds yesterday afternoon onwards through the night, it is now bright, sunny and baltic with very little wind

Its so cold here plus am snowed in at my end cant get out my home what everyone else like

It's bad here. Although the main roads are still OK.

I thought today was mostly going to be rain with a little sleet and not several inches of snow.

However it may work in our favour at football this afternoon, as I can't see those Southern softies liking the cold and snow. They will probably appear in their leggings and gloves. It may even up the match.

Due to the snow, it's reported that 60 people have been stuck at the pub at the top of Tan Hill for over 3 days now.
