RE: The Masters 2013
Love watching the Masters on the most beautiful course I have ever seen.
Woods off to a solid start and a good recovery from Lee Westwood after an opening double bogey.
All set for a cracking championship Smile.

Round of the day had to be the 14 year old who shot a one over par 73,when many predicted that he would do well to break 80.

RE: The Masters 2013
After a low scoring day 1, conditions have been tougher. It looked like tiger could have opened up a 2 or 3 shot lead at one point which wouldn't make for an interesting tournement. If tiger hits the front he will be a hard man to stop.

Teenager Tian lang Guan from China became the youngest player to make the cut at the Masters, despite a one shot penalty for slow play.
Will Officials have the bottle to disqualify Tiger who has signed for an incorrect score after dropping from the wrong place, which is a 2 shot penalty.

Definitely no. It's all very confusing (to me anyway). They didn't disqualify him because they didn't spot the rule breach until he owned up to it? Have I got that right?

RE: The Masters 2013
One very simple question.
Had a relatively unheralded player done what Tiger did would they have only got a two shot penalty rather than been disqualified? The rule the committee found to not disqualify is imo very much open to interpretation at the very least bladewave.
Bearing in mind Tianlang Guan got penalised rather harshly for taking 20 seconds too long over a shot it stinks a bit of double standards.
The Chinese lad was particularly unlucky when you bear in mind the number of serial slow play offenders on the PGA and European tours who consistently get away with it.
For me its picking on an easy target and being scared to punish the big guns.

it also sets a precedent. any incorrect scorecards submitted in the future can use this incident to challenge the decision.

Chuck Norris has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). the virus is now in quarantine for 14 days.

Basically the No.1 golfer in the world & possibly the greatest to ever play the game got away with a DQ because he didn't know the rules to his chosen sport.
