Galaxy tab help

I got a galaxy tab 10.1 for xmas and when I connect it to my pc via usb it doesnt reconise it. I want to put pics and vids on my tab but cant. Can anyone help?

i got the 7 inch version put the usb cable into the PC and Tablet u should see it come up as connected as a media device and there should be a usb symbol in the top corner if it doesnt say that drag on where the symbol is and it will bring down a list press on the usb connection and will come up with 2 choices make sure Connect and Media Device MTP is ticked that then lets u communicate with mac or Windows

worse comes to worse u can use Kies to do it

I figured it out, it was my pc. It said it didnt recognize the usb so I tried my dads pc and it worked.

the video players on it are excellent nothing it cant play although need to buy 32gb memcards but not to bad get them for about 15 quid from amazon

try to uninstall software and reinstall and restart pc / other way this problam cause faulty cable try replace the cable. i GOOGLE Nexus 7 tab similar problems then i reinstall the software
