RE: Last film you watched

After the death of his father, T'Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly reappears, T'Challa's mettle as king -- and as Black Panther -- gets tested when he's drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people.

Aside from (4 me) the obvious fact, this is an excellent watch!!! 9/10

Black Panther

Watched it again as my mum wanted to see it, still stand by my review still enjoyed it as I did the first time around. Only thing I would add is found the final battle between Black Panther and the villain a little anticlimactic I was far more interested on the surface battle that was going on.
Got another film review to do that’s if I can get round to finishing the film lol.

Black Panther. Found it to be good, but that's about it. Maybe the comic book movie hangover is starting to kick in (although I thought Thor Ragnarok was brilliant)

In a Berlin of the future, a mute bartender's search for his missing lady-love takes him deeper and deeper into the city's criminal underbelly.

A strangely captivating movie for me...Hats off to Netflix, they are knocking out some mad watchable's right now 9/10 I Actually loved it.

Toni Erdmann(2016)

A German comedy written and directed by Maren Add about a businesswoman and her estranged father who tries to get back into her good graces by executing a series of I'll conceived practical jokes. The humour works extremely well juxtaposed with the more serious issues of mental health, family dysfunction, geographical displacement and sexism in the workplace.Really great acting from Sandra Hiller and Peter Simonischek in the lead roles.

I, Tonya (2018)

Drama starring Margot Robbie, playing the part of figure skater Tonya Harding. It covers how she got into skating, how her mother & husband treated her & how the Olympic committee judged her on her looks & personality & not her talent, as well as the big scandal that took place in 1994 (which I won't give away).
Margot Robbie puts in a great performance here.
Really worth checking out.

Red Sparrow

Not quite what I was expecting, but it was fairly good. Surprise appearance by Jennifer Lawrence's boobs didn't hurt.

Black Panther 7/10 - not sure where all the high scores for this film come from, it was decent but certainly not outstanding and most definitely not the best movie in the marvel franchise, its not even in the top 5.

The Pirates Of Blood River(1962)

Directed by John Gilling this slightly better than average blood and thunder horror from Hammer revolves around a simple premise.Pirates attack a village, convinced that a secret treasure is hidden there.A decent romp which probably wouldn't hold much interest without the stellar cast that includes Christopher Lee,Kerwin Mathews,Oliver Reed and Andrew Keir.
