Black Panther

The latest film in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) & it's an excellent comicbook film with fantastic special effects & action sequences along with very good
performances from an excellent cast, especially Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Michael B Jordan is an excellent villain as Killmonger, Lupita Nyongo as Nakia, Letitia Wright as Shuri & Danai Gurira as Okoye.

As always with MCU films there is plenty of humour & tie-ins to previous MCU films plus the usual fun Stan Lee cameo.

There are 2 scenes in the credits, one partway through & another right at the end of the credits setting up Avengers: Infinity War

9/10

King Arthur (the one with Clive Owen & Keira Knightley)

Interesting take on the legend has Arthur and the Knights fighting for the Romans to defend the empire against us savages Tongue north of Hadrians wall.
They then stay behind when the Romans abandon Britain, to protect the local tribes against the invading Saxon army.

Good film, in an unassuming kind of way 7.5/10

Wonder Woman, there are no words in any language that can aptly describe Gal Gadot's beauty

If i could find a girl that had the looks of Gal Gadot, breasts of Sophie Mudd with Demi Rose's ass, the personality of Jessica Ennis, the grace of Kendall Jenner on the red carpet and then behind closed doors the raw sexual energy of Nicole Snow i'd know i was dead and gone to heaven, so i'll just take Demi Rose's ass and Nicole's sexual energy

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

Actually quite good if not a little uncomfortable! (For me "Unforgivable actions far out way any attempt for Redemption") #justmyopinion

I'd give it an 8, but that sums it up fairly well.

I would say that the whole aesthetic seemed better than the last few Marvel films too (with the possible exception of GOTG2)

Boing Boing!

Batman Beyond: Return of The Joker Uncut.

Love this animated movie was a big fan of Batman Beyond or Batman of The Future as it was known in the UK. Set in the future with Terry McGinnis as The Batman and the villain being The Joker voiced by Mark Hamill back but there’s a twist. This film is very dark and violent in tone compared to the tv series and this version is uncut hence why it’s so dark and violent, the music like the tv series with the rock sound track was always fantastic. Would love to see them do a live action of Batman Beyond one day.

9.5/10.

The Commuter

Insurance salesman Michael is on his daily commute home, which quickly becomes anything but routine. After being contacted by a mysterious stranger, Michael is forced to uncover the identity of a hidden passenger on the train before the last stop. As he works against the clock to solve the puzzle, he realizes a deadly plan is unfolding, and he is unwittingly caught up in a criminal conspiracy that carries life and death stakes for everyone on the train.

While I enjoyed this movie it does get lost in itself half way through!.. (watch and I'm sure you'll understand what I mean.)
That aside pretty decent 7.5/10

Leatherface (2017);

Not to be confused with the documentary about Katie.P's well documented botched face-lift she had done abroad this is a horror film a sort of prequal before a prequal about the early years of Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) 'where it all began' apparently.
Set in 1955 the films opening begins with the birthday of a young Jed/Jackson Sawyer (who grows up to become Leatherface) & his psycho family have all chipped in & bought him a shiny new chainsaw (iphones & ipads weren't around in 1955) & urge him to make his 1st kill by breaking it in on a helpless tied up burglar which is pretty much against his wishes.
It is when Sheriff Hartman (Stephen Dorff) discovers the mutilated body of his daughter on the Sawyer family ranch he assists in sending the Sawyer children (including Jed) to a mental institution. The film fast-forwards 10 years with Jed now in his late teens (played by Sam Strike who was Danny Dyer's on-screen son in Enders) whilst having been institutionalized in that time seems pretty normal but a dramatic sequence of events involving the people around see him slowly turning into the inevitable monster Leatherface.

There have been several remakes & prequals of the once banned video nasty Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the best one being the one starring a young Jessica Biel) as they continue to try & re-invent the wheel but in truth this double-prequal whilst has more gore & blood & guts than all of Bernard Matthews abbatoir's put together the film plot & story-line is as thin & flimsy as a wet cigarette paper.
A disappointing film & probably one of the weakest in the franchise.4/10.
