The Man From The Alamo(1953) Glenn Ford plays a Texan who 'draws lots' to leave the Alamo siege, to protect soldiers' families. He is later branded a coward and then infiltrates the gang of American renegades who killed his wife and child. A solid enough B western, a watchable 1 hour 20 minute time passer which briefly uses the Alamo story in the early part of the film. Ford is fine, but has obviously done much better work. Also starring Julie Adams,Chill Wills,Hugh O'Brian,Victor Jory,Jeanne Cooper and Mark Cavell. 6/10

Justice League The film could have been a good one. my god ezra miller as the flash is shit, grant gustin of the tv series is the better flash. the rest of the justice league cast was good. the cgi was poor especially when they cgied out cavills tash out due to him filming mission impossible 6 where he contractually obliged to keep the tash.

The Thing : 27,000 Hours(2011)

A short tribute film written and directed by Sean Hogan set in a populated area and concentrating on three isolated soldiers trying to figure out who is who.Brilliantly made with a tiny budget and featuring a really, unexpected and morbid ending.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag(2013) Its the mid 60s and Milkha Singh, a 400 meter runner and India's star athlete, refuses to run in the Friendly Games in Pakistan, flashbacks tell us why and also build up a fairly comprehensive picture of his life. Weighing in at around three hours, this is an occasionally exhausting but generally informative biography with a charismatic leading performance from Farhan Akhtar, imaginative direction from Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and impressive race scenes too. As is often the case in Bollywood films, there are musical numbers, some of which are an acquired taste. Also starring Sonam Kapoor,Pavan Malhotra,Japtej Singh,Yograj Singh,Rebecca Breeds and Divya Dutta. 7/10

The Founder(2016) How a struggling travelling salesman,Ray Kroc helped make McDonalds a major success. Michael Keaton is excellent as Kroc in a very detailed film covering how the organisation built up its fairly unique fast service, Kroc's differing business ethos than that of the McDonald brothers( Nick Offerman and John Carroll Lynch) and also his difficult home life, with Laura Dern as Mrs Kroc in a fine supporting role. Also starring Linda Cardellini,Patrick Wilson,B J Novak,Justin Randall Brooke and Kate Kneeland. 7.5/10

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

This takes everything from the first film and improves upon it in every dept up there as being being one best Marvel movies I prefer this over Thor Ragnarok & Civil War. Great action scenes and twists in the plot. I like how they’ve taken the action spy thriller approach this film and mostly importantly it doesn’t turn the film in comedy it does have humour but it’s sprinkled about in the right amount.
Few negatives the villain is a little weak and again won’t remember but in context of the movie it works. Some things are not explained or shown how they get certain equipment especially with Falcon I thought they were gonna show how he got his and for the life of me Robert Redford gets to the remote to electrocute the board members while there guarding him and the other bad guy at the end gets taken to the hospital with burns all tho there’s no fire and survives being crushed from 41st floor lol.
I did like the Easter Egg with the reveal of Marvel character who has his own film now and of course the Stan Lee cameo and the two post credit scenes which work perfectly. This is up there with my fav Marvel movies Iron Man, Avengers and Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 1. I still love the first one all tho Some people don’t rate it that highly but I like it.

9.4/10.

Executioners From Shaolin(1977) A Shaolin martial arts expert seeks revenge on a Manchurian priest who killed his master, and later the Shaolin's son carries on the quest. A Hong Kong film with inventive fight set pieces, fine settings, colour and costumes, occasionally let down by ill advised comedy moments. Starring Kuan Tai Chen,Lieh Lo,Lily Li,Kang Chin-Chung and Yue Wong. 6/10
