Certainly a lot of thought went into this film, but initially the script feels a bit wordy and film isn't really going anywhere, but the rewards come, with two excellent performances from Walker and Oram, eerie moments helped by inventive camerawork and fine cinematography, especially that by candle light and the occasional unexpected plot twist. The strange industrial/classical score helps too. Also starring Susan Loughrane and Mark Huberman. 7/10

Saw this two. Cracking bit were the occultist makes her strip naked and bend over so he can watch and wank. Some nice shots of her lovely, firm, pert breasts.

A young man from South Central Los Angeles must pledge a fraternity to recover a stash of stolen money.

Deathgasm(2015) Two teenagers, who are heavy metal fans unwittingly summon an evil entity, and turn the inhabitants of their small New Zealand town into demons. A gloriously gory film (plenty scenes of blood spewing) with a good dose of laugh out loud moments from a likeable mostly young cast.A fun hour and a half. Starring Milo Cawthorne,James Blake,Kimberley Crossman,Sam Berkley,Daniel Cresswell,Delaney Tabron and Andrew Laing. 7/10

The Ghoul(2016) A detective(Tom Meetan) goes undercover visiting a psychotherapist who maybe linked to two murders. A slow, dreamy film which never develops into a thriller or a police procedural but becomes a drab drama which despite the odd unexpected plot twist and 'hallucinogenic' sequence threatens to outstay its an hour and a half welcome. Its not helped by an underwhelming lead character despite the best efforts of Meehan. Also starring Alice Lowe,Rufus Jones,Niamh Cusack,Geoffrey McGivern and Paul Kaye( a pointless cameo). 4.5/10

Thor: Ragnarok - 5/10 after watching the trailer i was expecting big things but it really is a let down, this is easily the worst of avenger movies, the big problem is a lack of a coherent plot, the attempts at humour often fall flat and there is no real sense of danger. Its only saving grace are the visual effect, a classic case of style over substance.

Thor: Ragnarok

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk, his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor's quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.

Gotta say thoroughly enjoyed this film, plenty of action sprinkled with a good amount of comedy...Nice!

8.5/10

Equals(2015) In a so-called utopia where emotions are suppressed, a young couple(Nicholas Hoult and Kristin Stewart) fall in love. Strikingly shot scifi though the white futuristic antiseptic look is a bit cliched, this film is generally slow and occasionally drags, but the acting of the young leads is impressive, they work well together, and Stewart is particularly good, realistically covering a range of emotions as the film progresses. A fine classical/ electronic soundtrack too. Also starring Guy Pearce,Jacki Weaver,Tom Stokes,David Selby and Bel Powley. 6.5/10

Villain(1971)

A Michael Tuchner crime drama starring Richard Burton as a violent, sadistic mobb boss struggling with his sanity and his sexuality as the empire her created begins to crumble around him.Burton is excellent in the main role basing his performance on Ronnie Kray.Ian McShane and Nigel Davenport are also very good in their respective roles.

7.5/10
