RE: Football Banter
why is that not suprising? is he really a manager that was ever going to do anything with that club? Curbishley is their best hope at the moment.

Didn't Curbishley turned the job down when Mick McCarthy was sacked. I wonder if he's got the bottle to manage again. When he does his regular SSN spot he always makes an excuse when a job comes available for not being interested in it.

Curbishley is not our best hope at the moment. He had talks when McCarthy went and he couldn't agree terms with Morgan / Moxey and didn't want to work with the coaches that were there at the time.

Sean O' Driscoll is my choice. He's available after leaving Forest the other week, he's Wolverhampton born and a Wolves fan. He knows a lot about the English game too.

I see the bookies have all got Dean Saunders as odds-on favourite for the Wolves job.

Doncaster have confirmed that they've had an approach from Wolves to speak to Saunders.

RE: Football Banter
The situation at Wolves is an entirely predictable farce. Solbakken took on the poisoned chalice and suffered the inevitible consequences. The culture of failure, error, apathy, lack of responsibility and lack of accountability has now become so firmly entrenched at Molineux that whichever poor, unsuspecting manager takes over will face an almighty struggle to turn it all around.
For me Steve Morgan and Mick McCarthy have a lot to answer for. There was no progress made on or off the pitch in all the time Wolves were in the Premier League. The same old on field errors kept being made with increasing regularity as our three Premier League seasons went by. The response to these obvious failings in the transfer market were unacceptable and quite frankly a disgrace. Morgan seemed intent on improving the stadium capacity at great expense when the focus should have been on investing in better quality on the pitch. I said so at the time and remain of that view now. His appointment of Terry Connor and the whole way it was handled was laughable, the way McCarthy was sacked was gutless and spineless (Morgan made the decision while on a skiing holiday and let Jez Moxey deliver the news). He then seeks out some poor unsuspecting guy from Norway to clean up the mess and has now sacked him. Once again the Wolves job has been turned into the poisoned chalice to end all poisoned chalices. Morgan has lost all respect from my point of view. I cannot take anything he says or does seriously. Whoever gets the job I feel sorry for them already bladewave.
Dean Saunders would, I fear be a disastrous appointment but then again I am so fed up I almost feel no matter who gets appointed the misery will go on for some time to come. It is profoundly depressing and I am heartily sick and tired of it all Sad.

How often does Kieron Dyer score? His last gasp equaliser must have been a welcome relief at Loftus Road, but i doubt we could go to the Baggies and nick a win there, given our current cup and league form. 'arry's got to be brave in the replay.

I woud have thought sacking Pardew would mean that ashley has to pay him compensation for the rest of his contract he signed this season.
