You're thoughts are well meant and far from a rant babelover, but, as always with talk of compaigns and boycotts, it's an 'in principle yes BUT...'

Any call for such immediate action shows a certain lack of perspective IMO. Both for the realities of the situation and in application.

Firstly, isn't the vast majority of dissatisfaction expressed aimed at the night shows? I think you may have a tough task asking a caller to give up his Fernanda fix, say, in objection to night antics he may have little or no interest in. Any concerted action requires a truly common cause and will. The internal arguments that go on here, constantly, tell that guys look for a mirad of different things in the shows. This makes finding all encompassing consensus of what's required in them deeply problematic.

More critically, it's easy to get lost in the idea that, what, the few dozen posters that regularly post critical stuff on here and the other place are somehow representative of some whole body of babeshow 'fandom'. We have no way of knowing what the vast majority of babeshow users, current and lapsed, really think of today's offerings. Most vocal is not always most representative.

Even if somehow a broadly united front could be presented here, the more casual show user is totally unreachable for such action. These punters are also likely to less aware of what is lacking in what they are seeing... How much of the shows' income derives from such casual trade? Again we have no way of judging. Would any forumite-only action even make a real dent?

All that really can be said atm is that there are evidently enough callers and cam users contributing to a maintenance of the channel status quo. These users must still be finding something to draw them into interacting. They are also finding a satisfactory experience and, however surprisingly, VFM when they do or the channels would long since have vanished. Perhaps for these people the majority of the appeal of the shows lies in the simple live interaction with a hot babe - a horny onscreen performance is, shockingly, not that important for some after all.

We may think such guys misguided but us few dozen 'moaners' on a forum or two doesn't really amount to much unless more general attitudes and expectations of the current users could be changed. So even if you are adamant that you're right and they are wrong, do you think you can free them of their delusions? Words on here don't seem to have had the reach to do it so far. So how would a boycott have any chance in hell of working if these guys haven't been convinced by the reems of negativity written to date?

No, personally, I think we should concentrate our resources elsewere. A dfferent tack might be better at altering all-important perceptions: I've come to thinking that a bloke will always be more convinced on these subjects by a visual argument. So, IMO, a better avenue for us may be to continue to counter the idea that guys can expect no better from today's nighttime visuals, but that we should do this with examples! There have been only limited rule changes since Ofcom's rise so why do guys accept that their calls are going to visualise so very differently now from how they during the two or three years after the Code came into effect? Perhaps what we need to aim for is keeping the visual reminders of what the shows back then looked like as widely accessible and easily available as possible. We need this stuff front and centre, and know by as many guys as possible. The contrast with today's efforts needs to be stark. The more these old shows are seen, the more enoughh guys might begin to realise they are being taken for mugs by many.

Can't really disagree with the logic.
As ever the voice of reason and balance. I am especially intrigued by the idea of a way to plant a seed of doubt in those that happily interact now may be to show them what it was like back in the day. Maybe the bog standard TV viewer is less of the priority out of channel deemed necessity. It is all about making money no matter how much I and others don't like it . For all my lost calls and other peoples lost calls there is obviously enough of an alternative demand to keep things ticking.
Oh well .

But they do need pervcam and such. The channels need to integrate with the internet as much as possible, as that is the only way they can realistically compete with the plethora of adult material available there. If the channels are to survive then making a success of pervcam and their other cams is vital.

They can't, generally.
But the one thing these channels do have is a large pool of potential customers because they're on TV.
And the fact they're still around suggests this is enough to keep them afloat, well for now at least anyway.

But I do agree with your basic sentiment.
Take the TV hype away from these channels and you're left with very little in comparison to what you can easily find on the net.
Logically speaking, we must all be extremely foolish to even bother tuning in
But we all do it because it's too easy isn't it? And once in a blue moon something special does come from these channels and that's what we hang our hopes on as seasoned veterans.

They can't. But that's missing the point anyway.

Adult cams are said to have a total annual turnover of a billion pounds or more. If the channels can get even a small slice of that action it could make the difference between them surviving and not surviving.

With adult cams getting ever more popular, the channels can hardly sit back and ignore them and accept losing business to them. They need to compete with the cam industry as best they can.

Both companies could stand to gain something from such a partnership.
