Irish numbers and credit card problems

OK I am hoping someone from the actual stations themselves will see this. I'm not sure where to post this so I've just gone for the general forum. Why when I ring the channels credit card number do I get a message telling me "there has been a problem with your credit card"? I have my credit card for years and have used it all over the place with no problem but when I ring the channels it is never accepted. Is it something to do with the fact that I'm ringing from a mobile?

Also Elite seem to have gotten rid of their Irish numbers altogether - why?

Let's hope this is nothing to do with new Euro rules which allow cross-border porn to be stopped.

Can you use your laser card to pay for calls and then babes or channels websites?
