Just to add, the banner at the top of this site is kind of ironic...

"YOU'VE SEEN ME ON TV AND NOW YOU CAN SEE THE REAL ME"

I think we all saw the real Tiffany when she first joined here, and it certainly wasn't worth paying £22 a month for.Rolleyes

Yes, exactly... Irony is fantastic...

Besides, even if one was to join... how they would get to her know the "real her" from a few sets of topless pics and apparently ridiculously short videos, completely escapes me.

If I had a website I was making money from and had the chance to advertise it on TV, I would. I know she's a bit of a bigtime Charlie these days but advertising your website isn't the worst thing in the world, it is her job after all.

Aren't there rules about advertising like this?????

No, fortunately not.

If Ofcom introduce such a rule, it would mean that the channels couldn't continually advertise their telephone numbers either.

I thought the channels advertising the premium rate numbers is where they are standing on thin ice in regards to the future of Babe shows... Are they actually allowed to constantly advertise "090" premium rate numbers?

According to ofcom making profit from "PRS" (Premium rate services ie 090 numbers) should not be the main reason for producing the programme.

Taken from ofcom:

All providers of ‘babe-style’ channels should therefore study carefully the Findings below.

Use of Premium Rate Services (PRS) in programmes.

In some of the Findings related to ‘babe-style’ channels, the broadcasters failed on a number of occasions to justify the promotion of PRS within programmes.

Where there is sufficient justification to promote a PRS within a programme (i.e. it contributes to editorial or meets the definition of programme-related material), broadcasters should remember that the rules on undue prominence will apply to the promotion.

Programmes should not primarily be vehicles for broadcasters to promote PRS.
