Which Consoles Do You Own & Favourite Game?

Taking a break from work stuff, bored, surfing the net... "hat better thing to do than visit BS and see what's going on, launch a thread

Curious what kind of gamers exist on here, which consoles do you or have you owned? Also name 3 of your favourite games pre millenium & 3 post millenium. I'm sat here playing Puzzle Bubble as I type this lol.

I'll get things going..

Consoles:
Currently - NeoGeo, Xbox 360 (and the old black monster too), PS2, Dreamcast, Snes. I used to have a Jaguar, a Megadrive and a Nes until recently. Not too mention owning a handful of other stuff along the way Atari 2600, Atari ST, Commodore, etc.

Game Pre Millenium:
I'll go ol' skool.. Kung Fu, it was on the NES an arcade classic for me. Dragon Bruce Lee Story on the SNES, Batman Returns on the SNES, Smash TV, Tekken, Mario Kart and Wrestlefest in the arcades. Yea Yea I cheated with 7...

Post Millenium:
Gonna cheat again... Halo 1 when I first played that after getting it bundled with my Xbox I was completely engrosed. Jet Set Radio, Project Gotham Racing, Max Payne, Bad Company, Fight

Just a few games of each I'd literally go on for weeks and weeks if I was to list a solid list O_o

Consoles (and handhelds): Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, PS2, PSP (FFVII SE), PSX, PSOne, Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, Game Boy (Old big grey one), Gamecube, Nintendo 64, SNES, XBox. Those are all mine and we did use to have a NES, a Mega Drive, a Gameboy Colour and a GameGear but those were sold by my older brother because they were his.

Favourite Pre Millenium: FFVII (Like you have to ask), Chrono Trigger (It counts if you play it post millenium as long as it is a pre-millenium game right)? And Super Bomberman, one of the best multiplayer games ever. If Chrono Trigger does not count then Super Mario All Stars (the one that included like 10 Mario games, it was one game pak so it is not cheating).

Favourite Post Millenium: Kingdom Hearts, Lost Odyssey and Resident Evil 4.

It is hard to decide the options man, if I actually took a lot of time to think about it then I am sure that some of those are interchangeable.

I've got a PS3 and the best game i've played on it is definetely Killzone2

i have got a ps3 and my best game is metal gear solid 4 guns of the patriots

Quite a Nintendo collection you've got there At one time or another I've had them. I got the most out of my original Game Boy and the SP. One thing I've always toyed with getting just out of curiousity and the novelty of it is a Virtual Boy. Maybe i'll be silly and get one in the run up to Christmas.

Never got the chance to play Lost odyssey, wanted to though. Promised myself I'd get no more RPG style games until I finish Mass Effect, which is a great game by the way if you've never played it.


I've been pretty adament I'll never by a PS3, not for the whole fan boy (yawn) wars that so many people seem to enjoy. Primarily just because I had built up a friendly community of people on Xbox Live from the first xbox incarnation, and at the time Xbox Live was tried and tested. In addition everything these days seems to be cross platform, exclusives are really rare. I still pretty much stand by that decision but I'm in need of a blu-ray player. As much I know the stand alone model will be a better player than the PS3's (which are very good), there are the odd PS3 games that I'd like to play which are console exclusives. Killzone is definitely one of them, Little Big P, Resisstance, Drake and a couple others. So I might get sucked in and pimped by Sony.

The Wii has not had a lot of good games at all considering it has been out two and 3/4 years now, I could probably count the ones I own that I think are great on both hands easily, with room to spare. They definately go for the mass market appeal which is a complete fecker if you are a hardcore gamer. They have had Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Paper Mario, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition and Mario Kart Wii really. The Conduit was pretty decent and they are bringing out the Metroid Prime Trilogy with full Wii controls on it now so that is 3 good games for the price of one but they spend too much time developing wank instead of great stuff. Plus while I am in no way a graphics snob, the graphics on the Wii are so bad in comparison to the 360 and PS3 that it is a bit of a problem.

Sculture73 I know man, out of every generation Nintendo have been my favourite in each of them then it got to this generation and they blew it IMHO, I am not sure if I even prefer the DS over the PSP in the battle of the handhelds either. I want to play a game using a controller, is that too much to ask? It can be fun not to but over a prolonged period it is just annoying, especially because I problems with my right elbow so after about an hour on the Wii I am in excruciating pain. Nintendo must realise that games where you can use the GC controllers instead (Brawl, Mario Kart) are usually preferred to be played using them, in fact if you don't use a GC controller for Brawl you may need a head doctor.

Oh and I remembered I have got the Super Game Boy, which was so cool and let you play Game Boy games on the SNES, dunno if that counts as another console but it deserves an honourable mention. And do not worry about forgetting Bomberman mate, after I typed my last message I realised I forgot *Deep Breath*:

Any of those could of gone in to that list, I am so shit at picking a certain few to make up a list when it comes to games, that unless I have the 600 or so I own directly in front of me then I am almost useless at picking the games. And I have played Mass Effect but I have only completed it 3 times .

And just when I posted that I remembered Golden Sun 1 and 2, Kingdom Hearts 2 (not as good as one but still quality) and Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core (If a game makes me cry then in is automatically in, bet you cannot guess which games have made me cry on that list haha), damn me and my indecisive ways!

Favourite games post-millenium: Pro Evolution Soccer (Probably 3 overall), Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, GTA: San Andreas, Gears of War 2, Okami - (Fantastic game) ...

I have a nes, snes, the first gameboy, pocket gameboy, gameboy advance sp, psp, ds lite, gamecube, playstation 1, playstation 2, playstaion 3, nintendo wii. As for a favourite game i have more then one so it would be out of goldeneye, super mario world, street figther 2 turbo and street figther 4, batman arkham asylum and resident evil 4, super metroid and all the zelda games too lol.
