RE: Channel 4 to air daily Muslim call to prayer during Ramadan
First up whether or not you're a believer of religion is neither here nor there. Fact - The only religion that is significant to the indigenous people of the UK is Christianity which is the only religion is my opnion that should be promoted on any of the mainstream channels.
I however have no problem with the Islam religion being preached elsewhere such as one of their specialist channels elsewhere on the EPG.
Also in light of the woolwich slaying I hold strong objections as Channel 4 should not be going down this route. I don't like the Islam religion, never have and never will and I certainly do not want to see it making it's way into the mainstream. Far too many terrorist attacks have been carried out in the name of it's so-called god against the western world and I've had enough of it.

RE: Channel 4 to air daily Muslim call to prayer during Ramadan
I disagree, Islam is significant as the second largest religion in the country and this is an effort to educate those small minded bigots that have been attacking innocent shop keepers, abusing families and attacking mosques, it's an effort by a major broadcaster to say...hey, look, nothing hateful or nasty here...which is a brave and needed move.
It has nothing to do with preaching, they're not trying to convert people to Islam, this is something that will happen without Channel 4 coverage, but they want people to see that it's not a religion of hate...and if Christianity is 'mainstream', so is Islam.
A religion is not to blame for terrorism, it's a tiny few twisting the words to fit their own ends...just like those hood wearing people using Christianity to preach hate against people of other colours, or those charming characters saying that rape victims shouldn't be allowed an abortion as it's a sin, or that being gay is against nature. All religion is used by a few to cause hate, harm and social divide.
