ImageChunk Problem

either servers down for maintenance or crashed has the website was down as well. glad is back now i can see the dionne caps from the weekend

Hi guys,

There was a problem at the data centre which hosts the ImageChunk server. It started at 8:55am. It turns out one of their Cisco routers failed, but it didn't automatically failover to the others until they rebooted both of them and the first failed to come back up.

The good news is that ImageChunk seems to be running faster than before for me!

They may still be problems, I've just uploaded 100+ photo's and not one of them are showing

It seems I can upload .Jpeg but not .png

You're best to use jpeg's anyway mate, png's slow down the forum pages more than the others do.

For screenshots of the girls, or other photo type pics, jpg files are always a lot smaller than png files.
However if the screenshot is of just text, with or without simple blocks of colour, png files can actually be smaller than the jpg file created from them.

I've found an easy way to convert them now using photoshop, thank god

I was Just going though the Dionne Daniels caps thread an noticed that Imagechunk seems to have replaced some of my older caps with other random unrelated pics that have been added to Imagechunk as far as i can tell its only three pages that it has effected.So hopfully its not a major problem that has effected any more threads.

Not sure if it's a 'problem'. Just noticed that the 360 Option for Thumb' Size is no longer available. The largest available being 240x240.

I'm sure it was there yesterday.
Have I missed something?
Is this a glitch or a planned amendment to the IC Site ?.
